Yukai Engineering states that its engineers went through repeated prototyping to balance lifelike movement, holding strength, and appearance in Mirumi's arms (arm-development account), and its US FAQ recommends a strap diameter of approximately 10–15 mm (source). Even within that 10–15 mm range, strap surface texture affects where the 155 g robot sits best.

1. Positioning Tips by Strap Surface Texture
- Smooth glazed leather handles (10–15 mm): Position Mirumi at the lower base of the handle loop (right above the handle anchor ring) rather than the top apex where your hand grips. That base position prevents gravity from sliding the arms downward.
- Slick seat-belt nylon webbing: Wrap the arms just above a strap adjuster buckle or seam stitching, which acts as a natural stopper on vertical shoulder straps.
- Textured canvas or pebbled leather (10–15 mm): Higher surface friction holds the wrap-around arms steady along the upper third of the handle.
2. Avoid Tying Knots or Using Adhesives on Non-Washable Fur
Because Mirumi is not washable and its fur cover is not removable (US FAQ), never apply sticky tape, glue, or tight metal wire over the plush arms. Follow the included manual for attachment and care across Mirumi Robot Ivory, Mirumi Robot Pink, and Mirumi Robot Gray.
