Mirumi appeared as a bag charm in GCDS’s “What’s in My Bag?” show in Milan on February 27, 2026, according to Yukai Engineering’s announcement. That documented runway appearance answers one question: what was Mirumi doing in the look? It does not, by itself, tell a shopper what comes with an order.
Why Mirumi was part of the show
GCDS’s collection page presents “What’s in My Bag?” as its tenth-anniversary collection. It describes a shopping-centre set and models emerging from an oversized GCDS shopping bag. The bag was part of the show’s storytelling, not just something carried alongside the clothes.
Yukai attributes Mirumi’s selection to creative director Giuliano Calza. Its account describes the robot as a personal companion within the bag-themed concept and says it wore a special costume. That is the manufacturer’s explanation of the collaboration, rather than a direct interview with the designer. Read the announcement.
What the photographed look actually shows
The runway photograph in that announcement shows pink Mirumi wearing a vivid pink costume with pink GCDS lettering on a white panel. It sits beside a black handle, above the side of a white patterned bag with black trim. You can inspect the original photograph in the release.
Our styling reading is that the lettering makes the small companion part of the branded outfit, while its position gives the bag a character of its own. This is an interpretation of the photographed composition. A still image cannot establish how the robot moved during the walk or how securely it would stay attached in everyday use.
Can you buy the exact runway version?
The collaboration announcement does not establish a retail offer for the photographed costume. GCDS’s collection description includes a collection-wide “See now, buy now” message, but that is not an item-level listing for Mirumi or its outfit. Neither that collection description nor Yukai’s announcement establishes that the costume is included with a retail Mirumi order. GCDS collection page · Yukai announcement
If the runway look is what you want, check the actual offer for:
- A product name that identifies the robot, the costume, or a bundle
- An included-items list and photographs that match what you intend to buy
- The named seller’s current stock, delivery and return terms
Treat those as purchase checks, not details you can infer from a show photograph. The announcement alone also cannot establish any separate shop’s relationship with GCDS or Yukai.
